The Women of Robertson Place: A Family Saga
The Women of Robertson Place: A Family Saga, is a sweeping history of eight generations who lived within two miles of one another in Southern Ohio. It spans more than 200 years, and the stories in this fully illustrated historical narrative are full of slice-of-life experiences based on the letters, diaries, tintypes and personal belongings found in my family’s homestead.
Against the backdrop of three wars, the Roaring Twenties, The Great Depression, collapse of farm life, and 9/11, the women in this maternal line break tradition to become pioneers, settlers, teachers, writers and artists. Their self made husbands drive the action, and colorful characters take part in this book. But it is the women who get the title and the spotlight.

Interview with Lynn Carden
Litter Media: The Great Northwest Territory was just wilderness when Lynn Carden's ancestors moved from Richmond, Virginia to settle near Paint Creek in 1796. Later, Bourneville became home to the Robertson's and the rest, it's said, is history. Carden, Author of "The Women of Robertson Place" drew on notes from the women in her family to tell the story through their words. Carden shares details with Litter Media's Dan Ramey. "The Women of Robertson Place" is available at Wheatberry Books and The History Store, both in Downtown Chillicothe, Ohio and is also available on amazon.com.
